Coleman was born and raised in the town of the town of Blackpool in Lancashire. She attended Arnold School Blackpool as head girl. She also scored all As on her A level exams. As she discussed her Emmerdale character she expressed her regret at being unable to attend a college. When she was at school, Coleman was a member of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she played at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. Steven Moffat of Doctor Who announced in a news event on 21st march 2012, that Coleman will take over the role of Karen Gillan after she and Arthur Darvill had left. Moffat chose her due to the ease with which she worked alongside Smith and also because she was faster at speaking than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Her work in the industry since 1987 and has appeared in many TV and film projects. She has however been more prominent on TV than in films. Eva was in a number of parts on the screen, but two stand out: The role of Dr. Maria Santos' role in All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boa Vistas which was in CSI Miami. The role as the character Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children landed its the two Daytime Emmy nominations. This gave her an opportunity to show off her musical talent. Eva is a businesswoman, and also an actor. She is a thrice-married woman with a daughter by her second spouse.
