tito ortizJacob Christopher Ortiz (born January 23, 1975) was an American mixed martial artist. He is also a politician. He is currently an official Combate Americas promotee. Ortiz is well-known due to his participation in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in which, as an earlier Light Heavyweight Champion from April 14th, 2000 until September 26, 2003, he held that title from September 26, 2003 until September 14 on the 14th of September in 2003. He was among the early stars of the sport together with Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell. Ortiz became the top pay per view draw for 2006 thanks to his fights with Forrest Griffin, Ken Shamrock Ortiz and Liddell.
