Prior to beginning her social media presence in 2019, she shared dance videos on TikTok. She was a professional ballet dancer for over 10 years. Her popularity quickly grew and became the most-followed creator of the platform in March 2020. Khaby Lame took over in July 2022. She has appeared on several Hulu shows, including The D'Amelio series, TurboCat as well as Snap Original's Charli vs. Dixie. In 2022, D'Amelio participated as a celebrity contestant .
